Cosplay ≠ Consent - Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movie, TV News
Pass this along guys!
So far San Diego Comic Con has refused to enforce new policies to further protect attendees.
Nobody should have feel uncomfortable at a con, nor does anyone have the right to violate/ assault another person because of how they dress. Cosplay does sequel consent. I’ve been going to Wondercon and Comic Con for years now, and I can’t believe I still hear stories of harassment. This has been going on for too long for the higher ups to not enforce new policies to project us attendees.
"We’re asking Comic Con San Diego to include the following in a formal anti-harassment policy:
–A harassment reporting mechanism and visible, easy to find on-site support for people who report harassment;
–Signs throughout the convention publicizing the harassment policy and zero-tolerance enforcement mechanisms;
–Information for attendees on how to report harassment; and
–A one hour training for volunteers on how to respond to harassment reports.”
After five long months Hawkeye is back! Instead of having the issue follow the normal format of text and image. Fraction and Aja used ASL to tell the story. #Hawkguy #thebestavenger
